L'il Robin Red Breast (#1019-04/11)
Each morning I stand under the overhang at the front of my residence and say a prayer. This time I saw a grey lump on the stonework and when I went to see what it was, I was surprised to see a young Robin standing absolutely motionless. There are three cats in my house (for a look at one of them see my photo #656), and I feared for this little guy's safety (OMG!!!). I immediately went to get a glove to pick this Robin up and move it to a safer place on a nearby maple tree.
So when I came back to help it, it scooted (duh) to the front of the stonework where there are some long ornamental grasses to hide in. I kept an eye on it for a very short while, and fortunately all of the cats were in the house at the time...whew!!!. I had only a minute or two to take this photo, and then the little guy flew away.
That was my early morning adventure, which fortunately for the Robin, ended happily.
