WHAT?! SERIOUSLY?!

i was pretty certain a cat got me in my sleep when i woke up itching like mad on my arm. after a few rounds of good scratches i started to second guess what was going on. this got me thinking about the teeny spot above my wrist that's been itching for a couple days (also thought it was a kitteh wound) and it hit me. i have poison ivy. again. i have no idea where or when i got it! i've always been able to retrace my steps to determine when i encountered it, but this time i have no idea! i'm incredibly allergic and i've done a fabulous job of spreading it all over my arm.

of course, my entire body itches today and i'm completely paranoid that every little spot i find on my face, leg or other arm is another instance of it spreading. ugh!

aw, but it's not so bad because i'm going to mexico and i have plans to make!

gack! i hate that stuff. HATE IT. got some of the oils inside (i know, f'd up, right?) a pair of gardening gloves once, but didn't realize it, and kept reinfecting myself over and over again one summer. pissed me off SO MUCH that when i figured it out, i literally burned them rather than just throwing them out like any sane person would. bastid ivy.

Oh jeez! Getting poison ivy was always one of my biggest fears as a kid (that and getting lice). It's a damn good thing there's no poison ivy in South West Nova Scotia.
