"Light" - P52'12 Week 7
This challenge went along with a few of my photo class assignments which deal with light and the shutter speed. For the LensProToGo theme of light, I wanted to use intentional blur from 3 small lamp post lights and slow the shutter speed to about 1/4 of a second. I tried to pan vertical in a perfectly straight line, but it took many shots as my wrist kept turning. ALSO, I did change the white balance in camera to a custom Kelvin number or 2500K which made it a neat blue. I did try a few shots turning the Kelvin to the other farthest extreme of 100,000K creating a fire like streaks of red, but I liked the blue here more.

Photo Meetup Group - Lighting Workshop

Our local photo meetup group had the chance for everyone to bring their lighting and wireless triggers for us to play with. Since the models never showed, the tragic happened... we the photographers had to become the models. We had a great time though :)

"Movie/Song Title" - P52'12 Week 6
This challenge was to take a picture that represented a Movie/Song title, so I went with the obvious of 2012 (movie). For this, I used the macro mode on the lens and zoom feature on my computer OS to display the year.

Photo Assignment 2: Shallow Depth

Photo Assignment 2: Shallow Depth

Shallow Depth

Took my favorite 50mm f/1.4 out to shoot shallow depth of field. The one thing to remember though, you do not need to shoot at the widest aperture. In this, I shot at f/2.8 so I would keep most of the Android character still in the focal plane. Otherwise f/1.4 would be too shallow to have maybe only the antennas in focus

Total Depth
Direction: West South West

Down in the man made slough between Everett and Marysville, I was hoping to head out sooner for sunset, but I was able to get the twilight glow. Now shooting at f/22, I was able to get the rocks right in front of my feet to the power lines hanging over the highway in the background
