It was really hard to see this red light when the sun was hitting it in the afternoon. I almost walked into the stage and ruined Christmas for everyone more than once.

At least the gaffer (or likely his assistant's assistant's intern) covered it over with black foil so it was COMPLETELY obscured from three directions.
