Bosley is really hard to photograph, but when you can capture a nice sharp one like this photo, it's so very worth it.

Saturday morning self portrait

Saturday morning self portrait

I haven't posted photos on here for a few weeks. Work has been keeping me pretty busy lately, so that daily routine is mostly what I've been up to.

I'm currently reading A Visit From the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan. It's very, very good though somewhat depressing. Probably the best book I've read in the past year. Highly recommend it as I'm coming to the final chapter today.

I spent this past Christmas and New Years mainly alone as Jennifer went back home to visit family. I had work projects and also I had to take care of the cats here. Hung out with some good friends here and there, but it was mostly a pretty quiet holiday.

I got a new tattoo (my second) this past Tuesday from Dan Bonara (Bones) of Twelve 28 Tattoo in Williamsburg. He did an excellent job on the Silvercup sign (backwards) and it's currently still healing up. I am really a big fan of old signage. The sign is iconic to the borough of Queens and probably one of the most beautiful sign I've seen to date. I got it backwards because that's how I usually see it from the train or the Queensboro.

Snow. Finally.

Snow. Finally.

We've been wondering where the snow has been. It's late January and we had yet to see snow (minus that one odd day back in October).

We are hoping for a blizzard though so we can have a snow day.

Setting the stage for the 1964 World's Fair

Setting the stage for the 1964 World's Fair

The 1964/1965 New York World's Fair was the third major world's fair to be held in New York City. Hailing itself as a "universal and international" exposition, the fair's theme was "Peace Through Understanding," dedicated to "Man's Achievement on a Shrinking Globe in an Expanding Universe"; although American corporations dominated the exposition as exhibitors. The theme was symbolized by a 12-story high, stainless-steel model of the earth called Unisphere.
