Threats to Singapore marinelife: dredging

Threats to Singapore marinelife: dredging by wildsingapore.
Dredging affects the sea bottom and kicks up sediments. High sedimentation results in murky water which can affect the health of marinelife on Singapore's shores and reefs.

As well it's giving Singapore a better infrastucture and the chanche to grow. That are the things were the government points at. The marinelife will return after the dredging operations anyway! Is this East Marine Dredging from Singapore?

Certainly there can be recovery (eventually) if development is done with impact on habitats as one of the considerations. And if there is a holistic approach to coastal development. However, if impact is ignored and there is no coordination of development, the constant pressure on the habitats may result in long term if not permanent damage.

This was dredging done a few hundred metres in front of the Labrador Park Nature Reserve (a designated Nature Reserve). It is part of plans to expand the adjacent Pasir Panjang container terminal sand involves relocating submarine cables.
