What beautiful color and abundance. The exclamation point on your title suggested the verb as well as the noun. There's that push not just to succeed but to make it day in and day out, to keep enough going to survive. This photograph with its crowded colors captures something so daily, so universal. Even the little signs with bright red and black lettering remind us of the urgency of food.

The abundance of prices ending in 99 cents grants a unique visual patterning layer to the composition. Not only does the red and black lettering that *Clairity* mentions grant a sense of urgency, but I've read that red, black, and yellow in combination are colors that psychologically stimulate the appetite ... intriguing how the yellow shows up among the various food items. Another nice touch from a recycling standpoint is how the kumquats have been placed in an upside down asparagus container. All in all, an appealing display. :-)

I'm in love with this shot, the framing is perfect. The colors are amazing and well exposted. I love all the signs and the detail in the shot, I could be here for 20-30 mins looking through and checking this shot out. This has definately wanted to make get out and go to a local market with a empty stomach and a empty cf card with my camera for sure, fav'd it!

I created an account just so I could comment on this photo. I was doing a google search for fruits and vegetables in season and this came up. I had such an instant reaction when I saw it. It was like wow, where is that place so I can go there! Great colors, an explosion of healthy goodness! Fantastic shot. I printed it out so I can put it in my food diary.
