Excellent shot. The lighting is great as is the composition.

If it were mine, I would have remover the lens aberration/flare as I find it a bit distracting and is really not part of what the eye saw.

Is this a sepia conversion or did you adjust the colours ?

Whitebeard, excellent idea about the flare - I agree that it is distracting. I'm a total rookie with PS /GIMP, (one of those things that I haven't had the time to learn). I'll try to fix it soon and repost it.
I sometimes use picasa for simple fixes for my shots but not this one. I had the white balance set to "cloudy" and I think that helped warm the colours a bit. But... this is pretty close to what we saw.

Hi Everyone, thank you for the renewed interest in this photo - it is a favourite of mine, too.

@Vivi-Mari: I haven't done anything to the colour in this shot (as you can above it was shot before I even started using photoshop). I think the colours are so brilliant for 2 reasons - I had the white balance set to "cloudy" which I find warms the colours a bit and secondly it was an amazing sunset after a rainstorm and it was just naturally this beautiful.
