i don't think he's extending his hand. he likes to wave them around when he makes a point.. it helps him create an illusion that he's saying something extraordinarily prophetic, when in fact it is nothing more than overly ambitious demagoguery.

Im guilty of using my hands when explaining or describing something in a conversation, I think it's just a natural action in human conversation.

Having done a good job of room 'over-alls', working down to this tight group shot is critical. The added crop of having the 2 translators only gives more scope to this image. You actually feel your sitting right behind these 2 men. You can't ask for any thing more from a photographer.

Using your hands when talking is molto Italiano. When in Rome...or in this case L'Aquila. ;-)

Personally I don't like socialism...I prefer to take care of the poor through charities which BTW makes healthcare free for those who connot pay for medical treatment. Our Medicare and Medicaid system is a total failure. Government just doesn't know how.

Prime Minister Aso, I'm sure you remember that Asian foreign contribution thing that Bill Clinton pulled off while he was President . . .

Well, now . . . this is what I'm thinking we should do for 2010 . . . . . . . .

Vitalissue,
I believe there were twenty to thirty people "wanted" for questioning for reportedly raising foreign contributions in Asia for the Clintons.
It had to do mostly with Indonesia.
Nearly all of the people high-tailed it out of the country before they could be apprehended. (wink, wink)
