I love that he wants to make friends with foreign "dognitaries"! My brother-in-law's dog loved tomatoes too. He'd always take a bite out of tomatoes in the garden or dig in the garbage for ketchup. The first time they noticed it he gave them a scare because they thought he was bleeding.

My parents have had two PWD's and they are nuts! Fun fact #1: They have webbed toes. Fun fact #2: They were used by sailors to fetch whatever needed fetching in the water and also to drag nets to where they wanted them...in the off season they were let loose to fend for themselves which is why they learned to eat EVERYTHING (as noted, especially shoes and microphones....don't know the nutritional value until you've eaten it :) )
