Hollywood On Trial

In October 1947, the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) denounced 19 prominent screen artists as "enemies of the state." One of them (last man on the right) was Tony Kahn's father, screenwriter Gordon Kahn.

In Blacklisted, a six-part docu-drama originally produced for radio, Morning Stories producer Tony Kahn tells the story of his father's 15 years of persecution and the fear that followed him, his family, and thousands of other Americans for being accused of having "the wrong political ideas."
