Day 88 - West Midlands Police - Passive Drugs Dog Patrols

This photo shows one of our passive drugs dogs out on patrol.

Our Dogs Unit features a number of dogs that perform a variety of important roles.

Passive drugs dogs are often used during operations such as this one that took place along Soho Road. Our dogs can sniff out illegal drugs in a controlled manner.

This image forms part of the West Midlands Police 'Photo of the Day 2012' project.

We will be adding a new photo every day of the year to highlight the breadth of work carried out by police officers and staff across the West Midlands.
