It was my last day in town before leaving to go back to Santa Cruz, and so I called up Todd to go hang out. We went to the Civic Center area to get a cup of coffee, and decided to walk to downtown from there. Along the way this parking lot had one of its walls entirely covered in this mural of ancient Rome, and so I decided, what better place or time or thing to represent the second photo of my project?

I go to Las Vegas pretty much one a year with my family. Every year, I take the same digital photos and I never do anything with them, so I figured this time I'd bring along my Hasselblad and shoot Vegas in an entirely different light. I wanted to do it all in black and white, at night, as a stark contrast of what the town looks like and what it can be portrayed as.
