What can I say? This is Los Angeles... and not even downtown, but a mile from the beach! 66 degrees at 6:04 in the evening, and I was out riding my bike wearing shorts and a tee shirt. SHOT ON MY CELL PHONE. MID WINTER IN LOS ANGELES!

Hmmm, I looked at the sky this morning... didn't see any signs of snow today. Oh, well; I'll have to put away the skis and get out the surfboard. I look a little chunky here, but I started a diet two weeks ago and have already dropped six pounds. I should be in pretty good shape when the "REAL" summer comes around.

A green-eyed blond and a brown-eyed brunette... With the sun shining and the temperature at 73 (23C) I just had to get out on my bike and get some sunshine. In the marina, it looked as if spring had arrived... the skies were blue, the wildlife was... well, wild, and I was able to snap a few summery pictures.

This blue-eyed pelican was quite a charmer... tame, too. I was able to walk within a foot of this one without disturbing it, although it did keep me under close observation.
