In the week before New Year's Eve, you see food stalls everywhere selling oil and apple dumplings. This is a typical tasty Dutch snack. Well, tasty... Let us say that it is a matter of taste.
An oil dumpling is a sweet, fried, light lump of dough with raisins or currants in it. An apple dumpling is something similar but this one has a slice of apple inside.
