I like the flow of pedestrians forming a line
to the man's left and how the painted traffic
lines form a triangle from his back.

He's been warned. He's sitting so that you
can't write "Martin's and some other
guy's backsides on the street."
(Seriously, I agree with Jeff -- The wonky
poles add another bit of linearity to the
left edge too.)

thanks D! I just love that guys hands too...
It was so odd, him sitting out on a very busy
Sun. afternoon... patiently waiting for his
wife (or partner... whatever...). Poor
Martin. From his hands and stance, he looks
bored to tears. I drag him around too much
maybe! That jacket is just too good though!
States where we are!

it was rather odd he was out on the sidewalk,
for sure... all the shops here are pretty
jammed to though so this is probably the most
personal space he was going to get!
