Jacqueline- that's an angel... see the angel on another one

And yes- that is a woman in the fashionable blue jeans. (her hair is pulled back)

Still - that's right... the DPE!

Barbara - I'm tempted to leave the explanation up to White Elephant... but since there's no guarantees he'll drop by, that's in reference to El Chapulin Colorado, a Mexican TV series - the actor/comedian was also a character in a show that included my flickr icon character...

Chapulin continues to be popular amongst the Latino crowd.

8 degrees of separation in Mexican television here! Stayed tuned for other pretty useless facts! :-)

(And where is White Elephant these days? He has not 'visited' my stream in a while, and needs to check out Cantiflas, don't ya think :D)

OH my Gawd... no way do you need to feel stupid... (is this in reference to that being a man vs. woman?) Believe me, I was there and did a double triple take to see for myself! :-)

And yea... Mando FOR SURE needs to see your Cantiflas! He'll love it!

There ya go, Fabricating stuff like this! So much fun & text & Our Lady of G. watching over the handicapped spot -- that's too perfect a placment for anyone who is not really handicapped, but just grabbing the quick spot. major funny. Definitely adds a sweet 'nother view to the project, SC. Superb.

Gotta thank Martin for this day!
We were in his old 'hood and drove me around! (if only it wasn't overcast most of the day!)

Thanks jacii... do you know i5prof? She's the "explore" genius and does the most delightful little dance when she's in there! (although, she should be in it more often... 'cause her stream is sooo fun to EXPLORE!)

THANKS whirrdz. I swooned when I ventured further in and saw that CH...

i5prof - I learned the explore jig from the best!

Geeze...away for a few days and look at all the little gems I've missed.

Ahem...

Yes, the "CH" popped out at me right away. That "CH" is the equivalent of the "S" on Superman's chest. El Chapulin Colorado was most definitely a hero of mine while growing up. (Arguably still in the process, by the way)

He was a character in a Mexican children's show and a master of slapstick humor. I could go on and on but I won't.

Susan really knows about this guy. He is huuuuge in Mexico and among the US Latinos/Mexicans (here we go again, SC :P).

Martin sounds like a great guy, by the way. Oh, and it is guaranteed that I will ALWAYS stop by your stream, SC!

thanks clifflef and Chris!

Mando- I think there are a few of CH tee shirts in Martin's family. I wish I understood Spanish better than I do. Listening to the show is funny even without the translation! (I get bits and pieces... estoy aprendiendo español, pero es muy difîcil para mi! (???)
Thanks for being an amigo, Mr. M!

Haha - Los Angeles, you stink but you're mine - I love it! :)
From the small version I really thought that was a painting on the back of a van. It's a wonderful scene - there's just so much there. Are you thinking of having an exhibition of these at some point? You're building up a significant collection.

God, I am so late I don't know what to say, aprt from 'great photo'. The three exhaust pipes on the sign also somehow manage to look like those trumpets angels blow in religious paintings. I could do with some divine intervention on one of my cars at the moment...

Thanks Mox- I currently sell small prints at a local gallery/gift shop... but when I gather enough shots that I like, I thought I'd self-publish a book. We'll see!?

Christina- the three trumpets is very funny... now that's all I see! They're like the angels above sounding the arrival!

I found myself watchings this for so many times now since you've posted it that I finally have to leave a comment.
Don't know why I like it, I just do.
One thing I thought about was a different composition in portrait format with just the painting and just that blue symbol.
And what's going on with all these 'friends only' marked pictures popping up?

susan catherine  Pro User  says:

Looks like you made "friend" mode... Having some probs with stolen images. So I'm keeping these under wraps to my closest flickr pals!

I think I do have another shot in portrait... I tend to like the environment of these murals.... otherwise I'm just taking pictures of other's art work. I would like to make the paintings PART of my own work. Does that make sense?

Maybe I need more coffee this morning! :-)
