my teacher David Huang entered another raised and chased vessel in ArtPrize 2010. This piece had made the Top 25 by 5pm Friday and so it remains in the Top 25 entries for 2010. This piece is spectacular, as was last year's entry. You can see the build at www.davidhuang.org
World's largest piece of felt in the works. ArtPrize 2010 artist Janice Arnold teamed up with Grand Rapids Original Swing Society to stomp out a piece of felted wool the old fashioned way: wet, happy, dancin feet!
This very nice metal sculpture of acrobats reminded me of bull dancing from ancient Greece. Too bad the Public Museum did not ask a photographer where to place this sculpture. The space is too tight to get a good long shot.
