This is probably my favorite variation on the Jayhawk (KU's icon/mascot).
This sombreroed beaker adorns the side of Burrito King on 9th street in
Lawrence. The food there is cheap and substantial - if not particularly
good.

	RavenHawk says: Hmmm. Across the street and east there is a donut shop -- Joe's Bakery. Oh, and they do sell sandwiches. We like the liquor store next door to Joe's -- Jensen's. A hole in the wall if ever there was one. Burrito King is a pure drive-thru with pickup windows on both sides of the building. Posted 19 months ago. ( permalink )

	RavenHawk says: Joe's changed hands just recently. It was closed for a while over the summer, but they've gone back to their 3am closing time. Personally, I like Muncher's better, over around the corner from the Merc, for donuts at least. Posted 19 months ago. ( permalink )
