In the thumbnails this looked like your ice photos from this winter combined with flowers. Either way, it is quite lovely.

Thank you, fatima richani!

And thank you, Lisa.

I got a few emails asking what these were images of so I added captions with the "recipes". I got a kick out of it. They started sounding like potions or witches brew

This one is my favorite

Thank you beatnickfly :)

harpy,
I don't know how to use photoshop either! I download photos into photoshop elements and do only minor editing for the most part.

BUT! This collage and all my collages were made with a freeware program called Picasa which is owned by google.

Download it, add some photos, select a few photos, click the collage button and select multiple exposure. Done!

A collage takes me literally 5 seconds to make.

Also, when I make the symmetrical diptychs and quads, I use another freeware tool called irfanview.

5 second diptychs!

Beautiful image!!! Your technique gives an incredible sense of depth!

If I may add: I can layer photos, AND THEY NEVER LOOK LIKE THIS!!!!
It's the talent of the photographer, and the further talent to see what will
combine to be more than the parts!!!!!!!

harpy, I look forward to seeing what you create, as always!

tenth48, thank you. I've definitely gotten better at making collages with practice, and having a gut feeling if something is going to work as a collage.

Of course it's all subjective. And I try to upload everything, good, bad and in between as a kind of record of what my experiments were. I try to delete most photos off my hard drive so I store pretty much everything on flickr.
