Best viewed large. So many good points in this and it does hold its head up in this quite popular genre. Focus, depth of field. I guess the light could have been better but I quite like tones which are quite subtle for this kind of shot. The sky isn't doing anything here though, it's a pretty graphic image and the sky just doesn't complement it. I'd crop the sky and rely on the tonal and graphic composition which are superb.

Indeed. So much texture and detail and pattern. Enough to keep the eye busy for quite a while. Needs to be printed about 36 inches wide and placed on a wall where you can stand back and study it. I'd agree that it could do with less sky.

The shadows and contrast on the hills are beautiful. The light in the upper right corner makes the sky appear rather washed out, but the focus of the image is spectacular.
