syrian friends

This time last year I was traveling around Syria with friends, meeting wonderful, generous, inquisitive and friendly people and visiting mind-blowingly beautiful places. This is at the Citadel in Aleppo in northern Syria. We'd been wandering around and suddenly two girls came running up to us, from the other side of the amphitheater, and offered us some of their picnic lunch which their mothers had made for their day out. Beautiful. Our thoughts are with them.
