A Swedish guy named Michael that was in my class and who I had met while out drinking with some other expats recommended some books called Sunflower. They contain articles about recent events, but the articles are in both English and Vietnamese. Unfortunately they don't make them anymore, probably due to things like Google Translate, but we managed to find some still lingering in this book store.

I took a Vietnamese class at An Giang University instead of the one-on-one I've been doing with Vincent at Panda Cafe. The class was taught by Vincent though, but was with four others who speak Vietnamese better than I do.

These bicycles are the standard bikes in VN, you see them everywhere, and when school gets out they flood the streets ridden by uniformed students.

Since I'll only be in Asia for a few more weeks, I figure I should take some typical asian travel photos while I still have the chance. Here's the temple on Ong Ho island near Long Xuyen.

Tien and I rode the ferry out to Uncle Ton's home island today.

Tien and I ran into her cousin and his wife on the way home from LX.
