Don't do it. I have one, not only does the cartridge damage records, but mine stopped working after about 12 hours of use. Eighty bucks more gets you a real turntable; go to Amazon and look up Stanton T.90.

I just made my Space Cadet Song and March into two MP3s, using a TEAC LP-U200 record-player-to-MP3 recorder. Scratchy and has a crack, but otherwise OK. Any ideas on how or where or whether to post it? Or does anyone want me to e-mail you the MP3s as attachments?
