A fun book on making the perfect party. There are tons of ideas featured in this low-quality (pulp-like) paperback book. The author's name is...(ahem) Gay Head. You can't make up a name like that.

It is nice to see vinyl spread out on the floor, but scratched up records would ruin a party (and peev the host). Plus, seeing the fruit on the floor kinda grosses me out... and makes me appreciate the oriental custom taking shoes off at the door.

God, if I could have added three stars for "favorite", I would have.
I recently got DVDs of some public domain "social graces" instructional films from the fifties, and one was about parties ... so funny.
I really can't say I want to go back and LIVE in the 50's and 60's, but I sure wouldn't mind visiting a while.
Speaking of Gay Head, and also prompted by this image, it still cracks me up that my mom's favorite slow-dance "make out" music and big celebrity crush was ... Johnny Mathis. Oh Mom, you sure can pick'em.

Almost all shots (or illustrations) of teenagers at parties during this time show them hanging out with records on the floor. Something about having their records collection strewn all out gives off the impression that they're having a GREAT TIME! I guess. Crazy kids!
