NYC - Greenwich Village: The New School - Johnson and Kaplan Buildings by wallyg.
The administrative offices of The New School for General Studies are located in the Johnson and Kaplan buildings at 66 West 12th Street. The Alvin Johnson Building, designed by Joseph Urban and built in 1930, is considered a major example of Urban's early work. It contains an auditorium, classrooms, lecture halls, seminar rooms, and university administration offices.

The Jacob M. Kaplan Building, built in 1956, contains classrooms, lecture halls, seminar rooms, and other accommodations. Its adjunct at 65 West 11th Street contains a cafeteria, a small auditorium, classrooms, and the offices of Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts.
