Wineglass drone orchestra Parasol Trap formed in earnest on 12th August 2011. Following an explosive session on Saturday 13th August 2011, the group split citing irreparable creative differences. Many members left the kitchen, never to be heard from again. By the evening of Sunday 14th August four core founder members regrouped to pursue a new direction, adding kitchen utensil-based, gamelan-inspired rhythms. Together they recorded some of the group's best and most enduring improvisational works, but the pressure was too much.
