Ground Strike 3

    My favorite from the set.

    Before the storms came through April 13, I was able to go out and get some shots of the lightning. Only the brightness and contrast were adjusted.

      Can you share your technique? I noticed a 29 second exposure. I generally do the same: Set up the tripod and keep clicking in an area that seems active with long exposures of 5 to 30 seconds. This must've been a dark site.

      I had my camera set on bulb mode, and used my remote to avoid any camera shake. I left the shutter open until I saw the lightning. I think for this shot I tried to close the shutter as soon as I saw the lightning, so it wouldn't turn out too bright. The photo still came out bright, so I had to adjust the brightness and contrast a bit.
