A Romanesco broccoli (Brassica oleracea) I shot as an entry for a photography competition within the Biology
Department at Durham University. The flower is part of the Botrytis
Group of cultivars, and the green inflorescence meristem has an
approximate self-similar character, making many logarithmic spirals
characteristic of fractal patterning.

Update 04/05/12: I was runner up and won a £10 voucher! :-)
