Kool-Aid Package

Kool-Aid Package by Waffle Whiffer.
Here's a vintage Kool-Aid package, most likely from the '70s. I believe this is black cherry flavor, but the top part is missing. Nice mail-away kite offer on the back too.

Can I get an "OH YEAH!"?

Black cherry flavor was the best. I wouldn't mind having that kite.

Black cherry is STILL the best. They still make it! I always buy that flavor :) I do remember these packages. They always had cool things on the back of the pack that I wanted, but, never got!

[:::] Cheshirecat -- I've always enjoyed black cherry Kool-Aid, though grape and lemon-lime have always been my top choices.

[:::] Alex -- Mrs. Waffle happened to find this in a box of her childhood mementos. She allowed me to scan it, but then seeing the gleam in my eyes she quickly confiscated it from me!

[:::] Sunshine -- I'm wondering now if this might be raspberry instead of black cherry. The packages were about the same color. I loved the black cherry but couldn't stand the raspberry.

[:::] swhall72 -- The kite would be cool to find. I don't think I've seen one before.

[:::] PreciousKittyKat -- It still packs a punch! Yummy stuff.

[:::] Jazzejunque -- Those pitchers are cool, or should I say KOOL. I have a few of the smaller cups that came with the pitcher set.

I used to get blueberry flavor, which made the water a very light shade of blue, a constant source of amazement for my grandma!

I remember many packages of these... and the kite! This is between '76 (maybe earlier, but not by much) and '79 (at the latest).

[:::] Cerulean -- Ha ha!

[:::] Pix4 -- Thanks for the confirmation. That's roughly what I was guessing for the date, too.
