Many thanks to Frank Gehry for his vision and creativity making this subject.
Cambridge and MIT's campus is just a short walk across the Mass Ave bridge from downtown Boston. Many people don't make it part of their vacation, but I highly recommend taking an hour or two out of your day to walk the campus.
There is a great bike path along the Charles River just East of Campus. Walk across the Bridge and down the path until you see the buildings. The Stata Center is just one of at least 5 or 6 world-famous buildings that you will see.
The staff and students are friendly, and free tours (donations / tips encouraged) are offered most days. Bring your camera, and a tripod.
