The scaffolding is almost to the top of the Washington Monument. It's really been fascinating to see the progress of this.

If you live in the city, you see these guys everywhere. I actually think they are really beautiful. It's too bad they are assholes. It's nice to see one in nature and not on a sidewalk though.

Since I wasn't very happy with the 'scene' of the last female Red-winged Blackbird photo, I went out today on a quest to get something better. I think I achieved it.

Not the most exciting photo I've ever taken. I've mostly put this up for curiosity. I saw this bird walking around and couldn't figure out what the heck it was. After I went through my book, I realized it was a female Red-winged Blackbird. I can't believe how much different they look than the males.

You can't go photograph birds without a photo of a Canada Goose right? This guy was quite brave.
