5th January 2010
Today was a very meh day. I was just lazing around and eating and watching teevee. Then I decided to go to the gym in the evening and I jogged/cycled, did sit ups and other exercises (FYI, I really really hate running and doing situps).
Blech what a boring day. It's only Day 5 too.

I painted my nails today! Oh boy--those white nail polish was so transparent i had to put 4 coats before doing the top coat. Waited for it to dry and then started drawing (really, really messy) diagonal stripes on it using black permanent marker heh.
Yep, my nails are pretty short. I have this really bad habit of tearing them (yes, tearing, not biting) and it can go so short like this thumb nail and painting my nails has always been really difficult because of that (the nail polish ends up on the finger instead of the nail haha). Ever since prom (mid nov last year), I've been trying to restrain myself from tearing my nails so for me those nails in the photo above are actually considered long. Heh. Longer anyway. Let's hope I keep this up.

3rd January 2010
Today wasn't a very exciting day. I woke up, checked my mail, and fell back to sleep again. Very boring, very boring, blah. Tomorrow my friends were supposed to come over so we can paint nails (nyahaha) but one had something else in the end. Oh well, looks like striped nails will just have to wait.

Oh dear, this is such a disappointing photo compared to yesterday's shot. I had lots of ideas that I tried out today but none of them really worked out well.
I've been really meaning to do something about my room to make it look more like one belonging to a 16-year-old (almost 17!). (Before, it looked like this.) First was the heart, followed by the pin board. Recently my dad helped build a couple of shelves so that I can throw a lot of junk onto. Previously I had barely any space on my desk so I had to do most of my work (cutting photos, craft stuff) on the floor. So here goes, that's my workspace for 2010 :) The floor was so 2009. (Oh man, bad joke).
PS: Yeah the heart looks a bit different. I took a couple of photos out to paste them somewhere else and haven't replaced them yet heh.

1st January 2010
Here we go again. I actually did Project 365 last year (it's so weird to call 2009 last year) but it was kind of a fail because of several reasons like having photos stuck in my phone, film photos where i forgot the order (like which photo taken on which date--I forget because the roll gets developed probably 2 or 3 weeks after it was taken), O'level exams made me busy, and most importantly, my ultimate skill of procrastination. So for my first New Year's resolution, I'm starting Project 365 all over again, and hopefully I'll make it to the end. :) (heyy, it rhymes!)
So for this shot I was inspired by Rachel's photo. I love all sorts of color, so I used jellybeans :D
The whole process of taking this shot was tiring. I spent at least 1 hour just reinforcing the homemade lightbox, setting up the gear, testing the lighting, etc etc. and then my dad had to help me pour the jelly beans from a ladle while I held the remote in one hand and the external flash in the other. Sometimes the flash would respond, sometimes it wouldn't, and it was very, very difficult to get the exact timing. So it took 2 hours in total *phew*
But I'm really glad I made an effort to take this shot.
Happy New Year everyone! :D
