A wonderfully clean shot! Looks even more appealing post-oven.

thanks for comments one and all

Andy McCarthy UK
glad it's proving so popular
pie is a very fine institution indeed

PYLTN
it tastes better once it's been cooked too

sadferret
fortunately no equations to crunch on

Ayres no graces, valdab
it's a cold chicken pie
with layers of sausage meat
all seasoned with spring onions, lemon, thyme and cream

AmUnivers
it's based on a Delia Smith recipe
she's a very popular cookery writer in the UK
perhaps not the most cutting edge food, but extremely reassuring, and a good place to start any kind of cooking that you've never tried before

You know I LOVE your pie, great on black, (is it a new batch of the same pi?) Nicely done if then or now and yeah, you summed up Delia to a tee.

Eeeeek sosij meat, I don't want to be a pie (I dont like gravy) [said in my rather good Jane Horrocks/Bunty-from-Chicken-Run voice]

Good old Delia. She may be a bit pedestrian, but her recipes always work, don't they?
