@lunanera: On the Farne Islands (off
Northumbria UK) and Skomer Island (off
Pembrokeshire in Wales) there are thousands
of Puffins at this time of year. They come
to mate and bring up their young, mainly in
old rabbit burrows, before spending the rest
of the year at sea. They are very wary of
seagulls and other predators who mug them for
their sand eels but have no concerns at all
about humans - in fact they seem to quite
like the protection humans offer from the
gulls.
@Martin: I think they have sharp ridges
which hold the fishes so they can stack them
up.

This is such an amazing photograph.
Everything about it is perfect! I just love
the puffin's expression! Has he bit off more
than he can chew. If I could favorite this
more than once I would!
