Paint balaclava

Paint balaclava by Justseeds Visual Resistance.
yes we have an art critic, that claims not to be institutional. Sad that things have come to this. We are accessible, on the street and off...

Love the "envy" tag. You hit it right on the head. ;-)

Who is it that splashes the graf with puke green paint? I have seen a lot of it around. Why deface something that will soon be gone anyway?

Same person who stencils "sold to moma" over swoon's stuff and wrote up an oddball manifesto. his fixation on swoon is officially starting to get creepy.

I actually saw the open bucket of yellow paint at 11 Spring this morning...looked like he'd just splashed it on the side of the building and the sidewalk and dropped it right there next to the paper box.

The photo I posted isn't 11 Spring, it's Grand & Driggs in B-burg. My, he was busy this morning. The paste on his manifestos at this location was still wet.

I hate to see these pieces simply doused for the sake of causing some false sense of conversation on what is constituted as "art".

This was also taken in NYC during the 11 Spring Street project.
Possibly same fellow?

This whole thing is outrageous. Yes, graffiti is temporary, but this person is obviously out for attention only and has no useful talent like Swoon or the folks behind Faile, et al. This asshole will be caught, probably by some real artists and he or she will be EXPOSED. Street art in all of its forms is a lovely form of resistance by the daring people of this city and they should continue to paint and stencil, whatever the costs. Eventually this person will be dealt with. In the meantime, everyone, especially gothamist and the Voice should stop covering the "story." I think that it's totally possible that all the attention brought on by 11 Spring was the cataylst for these activities, that are perhaps by more than one individual. I have plenty of pics of this undoing, but I will post none of them on my page. Visit if you want to see the art in its original state only, or damaged only by weather, time, etc. Peace out.

most of the art looks better after it's been "splashed"
