The Columbia Theater, Broadway, Paducah, Ky. The last movie I remember seeing here was "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan." This building shows several eras of theater technology: It was built as a studio-owned movie palace for silents (note the beam on the roof for a grand vertical sign), it got a makeover in the '50s with a big neon marquee and it was "twinned" in the late '70s by reactivating and walling in the old balcony as a second theater. It's been vacant for decades now. As I recall, the interior is about as ornate as you could expect in Paducah, Ky.
