New design is about 215px wider, and offers a much more flexible, rich design.

From my screenshots, I count 901px wide before, 997px after. What numbers did you get to give you 215px?

davebug, you're right. I posted this in a rush and did bad math. It's about 115px not 215px different. The new one if you count the white border of the new site (look in the header area on either side of the nav to see it), then you'll see the new one is about ~1015px wide.

Ah right, I now see that white space. Interestingly, it doesn't cause a horizontal scroll if you get narrower than that that white space, though. Only if you get narrower than the blue.
