(português) Fios da terra é um trabalho inciado em 1995 junto aos tecelões tradicinaís do entorno da Serra do Papagaio, sul de Minas Gerais. Investindo no resgate da tecelagem manual e na melhoría da qualidade de vida dos artesãos, reunimos homens e mulheres para a produção de tecídos em fibras naturaís de palha de taboa e fios algodão, aplicados em peças originais desenvolvídas para utílidades geraís, decoração e harmonízação de ambíentes.

Taboa é uma espécie vegetal muito encontrada nos brejos do sul de Minas Gerais. Por rebrotar com facílídade as ser colhida., permanece em equilibrio com o meio ambiente. Catalogo de productos

(English) The mission of Fibers of the Earth is to preserve a traditional form of weaving with cotton thread and the straw of Taboa and to provide environmentally sustainable work for the men and women who make a variety of beautiful and useful products from these hardy natural fibers.

Taboa is a plant species that is very common in the wetlands of the southern part of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. Picked with care it provides sustainable harvests and remains in equilibrium with the environment. Since 1995, Fibers of the Earth has promoted a sustainable local economy by investing in the rescue of the hand crafts of rural dwellers of the mountainous region near Pico do Papagaio.
