The golden Rauris Valley is framed by the most imposing mountains of the province of Salzburg and offers the ideal conditions for hobby athletes and professional cyclists. The network of cycle paths in the Rauris Valley offers the right experience. Who pedals its way through Rauris can expect pure nature! Rauris is in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, the biggest nature reserve of the Alps. Cycling in Rauris is about enjoying the genuine alpine landscape on very well marked bike paths through the mountains. We cycle the bike tour Rauris - Kolm Saigurn. This spectacular Mountainbike tour starts in Rauris and leads to Kolm Saigurn. This forest is situated at the end of the valley, in the heart of national park Hohe Tauern at 1600 meters height and offers an impressive panorama at the surrounding glaciers. The tour runs through the Rauriser valley in a beautiful alpine environment. This medium difficulty cycling tour leads over asphalt and gravel to an unspoilt valley full of flowers and alpine herbs.
Kanitha, Samantha and BieJee are feeling right at home on their mountain bikes. BieJee is going ahead. We bike from Rauris to Kolm Saigurn over gravel to an unspoilt valley and passing the Ritterkopf mountain of 3006 meter - Austria. A tour of 700 meter height difference to overcome at highest point: 1650 meter, lowest point: 950 meter. Ascending: 70%, descending: 30%. maximum ascent gradient: 17%.
Het is geweldig mountainbiken in en om het Rauriserdal. Goed aangelegde fiets- en mountainbikepaden in elke moeilijkheids-graad maken de Rauris tot een van de aantrekkelijkste fietsregios van Oostenrijk! Fietsen in de prachtige bergen is voor BieJee en Samantha een nieuwe belevenis. Ze voelen zich snel thuis op hun mountainbike. De talrijke mountainbike wegen zijn absolute top, adrenaline en grandiose uitzichten gegarandeerd. Onze spectaculaire Mountainbike tour begint in Rauris en voert naar Kolm Saigurn. Dit woud ligt aan het uiterste einde van het Rauriser dal, in het hart van nationaalpark Hohe Tauern op 1600 meter hoogte en biedt geweldige uitzichten op de omliggende gletsjers. Een middelzwaar parcours over 700 meter hoogte verschil met het hoogste punt: 1650 meter, diepste punt: 950 meter, klimmen: 70 %, afdalen: 30% van de route. Max. steiging: 17%. De tocht loopt door het Rauriser dal in een heerlijke alpine omgeving. We fietsen hierboven op een bosbad langs de Ritterkopf berg van 3006 meter hoog.

Kanitha stepping hard on her pedals while ascending. A taste of true mountain riding. A tour of 700 meter height difference. There's nothing quite like the feel of the wind in your face as you zing along a smooth single-track trail through the unspoilt valley of mountain Ritterkopf.
Kanitha moet hard op haar pedalen trappen om omhoog te komen. Een fietstocht over ongeasfalteerde wegen door het indrukwekkende berglandschap van de Alpen. Een rit met een verschil van 700m in hoogte. Tussendoor geniet Kanitha van het landschap rondom berg Ritterkopf - 3006m . De frisse berglucht krijgt ze erbij cadeau.

Breath taking view ! I am very impressed on the places you visit are so pristine ! 70% assend is a steep climb ! I would be pushing my bicycle :-) I have a 21 speed, can one bring their own bikes to this park ??
