I got the base model with a manual transmission, and the only upgrade I've made has been to replace the factory wheels with 17" Hot Wheels rims. As things need to be replaced, I'll upgrade to a racing clutch, racing brakes, etc. And one day a turbo will slip under the hood. One day...
