Pollution, Dominican Republic

Pollution, Dominican Republic by **Mary**.
When you travel outside North America, you realize how few countries have pollution control laws in place.
Pity.

Maybe North America hides it better; and I think it worthy of mention that the USPrez is hell bent on rolling back the pollution laws put in place to protect our health....(in the name of corporate greed, amen).

True. But one reason is because they are competing for American dollars to produce the cheapest goods. The US, as the world's largest consumer, drives many of these markets and "rewards" those manufacturers who pollute by purchasing from them. Ultimately, the US as the biggest consumer in the world, is the biggest polluter in the world. Without purchasers of good, there's no manufacture of goods.
