Great poster! :-) There's some info about tweaking the ip router settings somewhere. When I'll be back from holidays I'll be able to play with two routers -- one serves the "external" ip address directly, and is connected to a software firewall I can play with; the other is a standard ADSL router which serves DHCP addresses. Will report my findings, of course :-)
