hmm this reminds me of the legendary "weatherball" in Minneapolis, I have heard of it but never saw it. Maybe that's the "weatherball".
Anyhow, this is different, I love it!

Thanks krstl_blu! I'm glad you liked seeing this. These are hollow and they used to all rotate and light up. Sort of like the Union 76 gas station balls.

Here is the Norge Ball that I mentioned above that I knew of in Clearfield, Utah. While not in the best of shape, it is intact. The building is now a tattoo shop. (there's a few more pics in my photos).

That's great it's still there! I think the fact it's complete makes it a real find. Hopefully they keep it up in the lot.

agilitynut.. feel free to use the pictures of this as you choose. By the way, just to clarify... this is not the Norge ball in Roy, Utah (that one is only about 3 miles away)

<firstyearta: Super! I'll definitely add a link at my Norge page. I'm glad you found this one. I have two on my list to see/shoot near Chicago in August. A friend remembered one from Buffalo, NY from her youth -- but it must've been torn down in the past couple years.

OK I have to know -- is this one on Stark? Way out on East side? Because I think my bus goes by here and I just saw one of my contacts post one in another town (all broken but still standing!). This totally has piqued my interest!

We have the lower portion here in Michigan, in Highland Park. I'll get a pic of it, sometime, it's in a very "rough" area!
