Art History brushwork.
I got lost in this one, just painting and trying new things. I do know that I used a cotton rag brush for the area over the birdhouses. I do remember making an underpaint layer in Topaz and setting it to soft light. Filter>Stylize>Find Edges was used, but I did not desaturate it this time, I set it to soft light to keep the image light, trying to capture the sunny day mood.
Textures used my own from the Textures to Share set.
Lost a very large tree almost ten years ago. When it was taken out, I had them leave the trunk about 5 feet high. I mounted a plywood platform for bird seed and attached these birdhouses to the platform. Some birdhouses made by me, some by my father. They all sit back to back in a circle. Made from recycled wood, odds and ends, bits and pieces of other things. Used several "vintage findings" :-)
