SOME LIKE IT HOT as one of Wilder's lesser
efforts. Those would come later, like not
really adding anything when he remade THE
FRONT PAGE with Matthau and Lemmon, but still
very good.
But I don't want to digress. I have
memories of Curtis as he was present for many
of his films when I first became a regular of
the Cinematheque. He shared one of Wilder's
tricks. The cross cutting of his scenes
being seduced by Monroe with Lemmon dancing
with Joe E. Brown were shot side by side on
the same sound stage, a technique still used
on sitcoms today.
Looks like you're having fun with your green
