Ça Marche is an annual walk to benefit HIV-AIDS service organizations. I'll be raising money and walking for ACCM (AIDS Community Care Montreal), an organization for which I volunteer. Every single dollar counts (in a very real way and making a difference for real people in my community) and is thankfully welcomed, so don't be shy!

Please don't believe that the "AIDS problem" is solved in any way. Sure, treatment exists (no cure, though!), but it doesn't solve everything (imagine being diagnosed with an incurable disease and facing the prospect of living with it for a long time---this doesn't only give rise to medical issues!), it creates its own problems, AND it's not an easy treatment to adhere to. People both infected and affected by HIV need everyone's support, and ACCM provides multi-faceted resources in Montreal.

Aside from treatment, prevention and education are important aspects of ACCM's work. Too many among us still take risks with our health, and too many are infected every single day, in your community as well as in mine. Please help me help an organization that offers true support and care.
