Flooffy slippers by vieux bandit.
Soon after Herb's third and final* surgery, the boys showed their support.

* I told him: "you call me at some point to tell me you got injured and you're on your way into surgery, and I'll say 'that's fine. where do you want me to dump your stuff and your kid?'" Enough's enough!

He does. The contraption came off a week ago, and the staples underneath the bandages are gone. The cats are less than impressed by his mobility though...

Well, hard to tell yet, because the scar/tissue is healing. They did have to go through last year's scar, apparently. And the staples will probably leave him with another "zipper". But this time when they folded the skin to close it, for some reason it created huge blisters all along the fold (and those eventually burst, thus giving us an explanation on why the bandages needed so much changing). The main bandage is now off, leaving just that surgical tape holding everything. (well no, healing is holding everything;-)
