Human Thirst / Sed Humana

In these days of heat, it is very normal to think of thirst, of moisturing our dried mouth, of feeling that fresh water that is symbol of live ....
... but, if we are body, mind and soul, ... won't we have to give water to the three parts?.
I want to add that, today Vicente Ferrer passed away. He has been precisely a man, who has given clearly more "water" to his soul than to mind or body. And that is what he will be known for. For the fruits of his soul.

En estos días de calor, es muy normal pensar en sed, en remojar nuestra reseca boca, sentir ese agua fresca que es símbolo de vida ....
... pero, si somos cuerpo, mente y alma, ... ¿no tendríamos que dar de beber a las tres?.
Quiero añadir que hoy ha fallecido Vicente Ferrer. Ha sido precisamente un hombre que ha dado mucha más "agua" a su alma, que a mente o cuerpo. Y por ello se le conocerá. Por los frutos de su alma.

Silence inside / Silencio en el interior

Here inside, I've been just a few times. Yet. Here inside, in spite of the noise of visitors and devotees, there is at the same time a silence which is stronger than those other noises. As here in the Pilar, of Zaragoza, so we are in ourselves. What do you look for? Silence, or noise?.

Aquí dentro, he estado pocas veces. Aún. Aquí dentro, pese al ruido de visitantes y devotos, hay a la vez un silencio cuyo sonido es más fuerte que cualquiera de esos ruidos. Como en el Pilar, de Zaragoza, así nosotros también, en nuestro interior. ¿Qué buscas? ¿El silencio, o el ruido?

Sailing ... / Navegando ...

Sailing we are, ... not only in boat, and not only across the sea. Rowing against what slows us, ... waves, tides, or even the simple movement. And, not only on the water. Sailing we go on, towards the sea ....
... what do you look for, sailor, when you get to the silence in the sea?

Navegando vamos, ... no sólo en barca, y no sólo por el mar. Remando contra lo que nos frena, ... las olas, las mareas, o incluso el simple avanzar. Y no sólo por el agua. Navegando seguimos, hacia el mar ....
... ¿qué buscas, marinero, cuando llegas al silencio del mar?

City Life / Vida en la Ciudad

You start walking, and you leave behind one street, ... and another. And you feel a fresh breeze on your face. You hear laughter nearby, and see many other people just walking as well, enjoying the day, and the company they're with. Cities ..., it is said they're full of rushes and noise. But there's a lot more..
Openness? Friendship? Maybe "just", ... enjoying the consciousness of being alive..

Vas caminando, y dejas una calle detrás, ... y otra. Y sientes una fresca brisa en tu cara. Oyes risas cerca de ti, y ves mucha más gente también caminando por las calles, disfrutando del día, y de la compañía que llevan. Ciudades ..., se dice que son fuente de bullicio, y de prisas y ruido. Pero hay mucho más..
¿Mentes abiertas? ¿Amistad? Quizá "solamente", ... el disfrutar de la consciencia de que estamos vivos.

Pleasure of silence / Placer del silencio

I wonder why sometimes our society seems so lost. I wonder why sometimes common sense seems not to be here anymore. I wonder why people can become so egocentric..
And sometimes, in the midst of this, it comes to be a true paradise, to know a place, where to sit, to enjoy air, to enjoy colors and what's more, ... to enjoy silence and it's Peace..
Why does noise say so little, and silence so much?.

A veces me pregunto por qué nuestra sociedad parece tan perdida. Me pregunto por qué parece no haber ya sentido común. Me pregunto por qué la gente puede ser tan egocéntrica..
Y a veces, en mitad de esto, llega a ser un verdadero tesoro el conocer algún lugar, donde sentarse, disfrutar del aire, de los colores y, sobre todo, ... disfrutar del silencio y su Paz..
¿Por qué el ruido dice tan poco, y el silencio tanto?
