My beloved Swedish house, located in Mullhyttan village, province of Närke. It was built in 1930, by a housecarpenter, in a much older Swedish turn of the century style, for himself and his wife to live in. He reused a great deal of architectural salvage when he built it, e.g., handmade old glass panes (with bubbles and "streaky" imperfections); 19th century tiled stoves, old timber and some old doors and old door furniture. The wooden timber window surrounds are quite special and most unusual: Swedish Jugend style (Art Nouveau).

Yes, indeed. I loved it very much myself! In fact, it broke my heart, selling it and moving away forever. There is a babbling brook with a waterfall along the rear boundary too! (See photos of this in my Photostream here on Flickr.)
Sadly I sold it and moved back to England, because my new partner hates Sweden and he would NOT stay there - having lived in Sweden for 27 years already, Barry was desperate to get back to England.
